Rob Frye is Flux Bikes. With synthesizer, flute, saxophone, clarinet, guitar and drum, Rob Frye from Chicago is present in bands like Bitchin Bajas and El is a Sound of Joy. With Flux Bikes, he plays his bicycle as an instrument: his performance begins before the concert, he rides a bike to every appearance and continues to experiment with dynamics, poly rhythms and loops. The tires tell of the journey between melody, noise and sound intervention. His collaborative trips range from 5 km locally to more than 5000 km over annual tours. America and Spain are now followed by Germany this coming May.
